Still life photography is the depiction of inanimate subject matter, most typically a small grouping of objects. Still life photography, more so than other types of photography, such as landscape or portraiture, gives the photographer more leeway in the arrangement of design elements within a composition. Still life photography is a demanding art, one in which the photographers are expected to be able to form their work with a refined sense of lighting, coupled with compositional skills.  See Our Still Life Portfolio

Some of the best photo opportunities present themselves in situations that would appear to pose lighting challenges, such as outdoors at dusk or dawn, or indoors with window light or artificial illumination. The term "existing light" is difficult to define because it encompasses so much and because its definition is arbitrary, we can define it as illumination that exists naturally in the scene. See Our Existing Light Portfolio

Portrait photographs have been made since virtually the invention of the camera.The style of these early works reflected the technical challenges associated with long exposure times and the painterly aesthetic of the time. Subjects were generally seated against plain backgrounds and lit with the soft light of an overhead window and whatever else could be reflected with mirrors. My pride is in capturing the moment and creating amazing digital images in the process, whether it is within my Still Life Photography, Existing Light Photography, or the Portrait Photography I try to allow my artistic flair work together with the talents God has given to me.

I provide numerous services in the realm of digital photography but what I am really passionate about it teaching. I have been incredibly blessed in a situation to learn from some of the real masters within the realm of digital photography as well as being highly educated in the field as well. I have taught at the university level as well as at workshops around the country.
